Question: Coach, why do you HOP the 7's on the Come Out Roll?
I know the Math Boys will cringe on this one, as it is a very high VIG bet. And I certainly do not recommend this bet for everyone. But if you are a skilled precision shooter, why not make this bet?
There are SIX ways to make a "7". Set for the 7's using the "all seven set" (4-5/3-2). This will give you 4-3 on top and bottom, 5-2 on the front and rear faces of the dice, with 6-1 on the ends. (on the axis).
Like our friend Michael Vernon says, "SEVEN is our friend" on the come out roll.
Bet $6.00 on the hop if you are a $5.00 bettor, or one unit. If you are a $10.00 or higher bettor, bet the hop for one unit (or as close as you can to equal that one unit bet).
Betting a $6.00 unit and setting for "7", you roll the "7" and you will collect $32.00. Put the $2.00 in your rack, and parlay the $30.00. Throwing another "7" and you will collect $160.00. Put the $10.00 in your rack and leave the $150.00. After this second roll, you now have your original money back, a profit of $6.00, and a FREE play at the $150.00 level.
Set for 7 again, and when you hit, you now get paid a wopping $800.00 - with nothing at risk! At this point take the $500.00 and flat bet the $300.00. Hit the 7 for a profit of $1300.00 - again with nothing at risk. You are still up for another roll!! I personally like this bet.
Let's compare the same bet to a BIG RED bet.
Take Big Red for $6.00, hit the 7, and you will collect $30.00. Now parlay the $30.00, hit the 7, and you collect $150.00 -with no profit. At this point, leave the $150.00 bet up, hit the 7 and you collect $750.00. Now take the $450.00 and leave the $300.00 for another hit, see how many 7's you can hit!
With the same amount of hits you are far bettor off hoping the 7's
The HOP and BIG RED bets are one roll bets only! So for you precision shooters, you have to be on target for a bulls-eye win.
Try it and let me know how you do?
Good luck in the dice pit.
